The Philippine Commission on Women is a governing association that aids women and envisions itself as the “government authority that champions women’s empowerment and gender equality”. They seek to let the more opportunities for women to contribute to the city and to share their talents and abilities. One of its major functions is to “Undertake continuing advocacy to promote economic, social and political empowerment of women and provide technical assistance in the setting-up and strengthening of mechanisms on gender mainstreaming”. Women nowadays are more than capable to contribute and strengthen society.
It is no longer surprising for us to hear people, organizations and companies help support the cause of others since it is a small price to pay for the lives that are touched and changed.
