Ulticon Donates Cement for Military Facility Improvement

Ulticon Builders Incorporated (UBI), for many years, has worked hand in hand with the Philippine government and its military to achieve lasting peace, security, and development in the country.  In this context – on 18 July 2019, UBI donated three tons of cement for the improvement of the camp facility of the Eighth Infantry Dependable Battalion, Fourth Infantry Division, Philippine Army (also known as the Diamond Division).

The facility improvements are expected to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Diamond Division’s daily operations.  Stationed in Barangay Poblacion, Impasugong, Bukidnon – the division is an extension of the Philippine Army Infantry units assigned in Northern Mindanao.  It has been tirelessly protecting civilians, properties, and businesses against the New People’s Army, the armed wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines.

Grateful to UBI, Lt. Col. Ronald M. Illana, commanding officer of the Diamond Division, said:  “We believe the key towards the continued spread of goodness lies upon those who nurture goodness in their hearts.  Your benevolence will go a long way.”  He received the donation from Mr. Rundolph Joseph C. Lopez, UBI Vice President of Equipment Services.

A Quadruple A-licensed construction company founded and headed by Carlos Gonzalez, UBI has focused on various infrastructure projects in less developed provinces in Mindanao.  The company strives to help accelerate the region’s socio-economic progress amid its long-standing challenging peace and order conditions.  Ultimately, UBI believes that progress can be a catalyst for peace.
