Ulticon Builders Incorporated (UBI), one of the largest construction companies in the Philippines, donated two loads of screened sand and gravel to Valencia City’s Barangay Kahaponan on July 22, 2019 to be used for the construction of the sitio chapel and the basketball court pavement. The barangay officials see the value of both facilities in their barangay residents’ holistic well-being as one provides religious services while the other promotes health and fitness through sports.
UBI aims for these and other similar future grassroots projects to help encourage social engagement and community involvement. The company believes that a more active citizenry could contribute immensely to achieving the goals of a barangay to reach its socio-cultural and economic potentials and eventually improve the lives of its residents.
