Aside from the joy of saving lives by contributing to the blood bank, phlebotomy has also improved the overall cardiovascular health of UBI’s employees. Because regular blood donations keep the levels of iron in check, which reduces the risk of heart disease and cancer, UBI has made it a habit to schedule it every three months.
