Ulticon Builders Inc. (UBI) proudly received the Tripartite Certificate of Compliance with Labor Standards (TCCLS) from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on September 10, 2012. TCCLS is the first-level seal of good housekeeping issued to enrolled establishments.
TCCLS is provided for under DOLE Department Order No. 115 (Operational Guidelines on the Issuance of TCCLS). A reform measure of DOLE, it introduced voluntary compliance with labor standards such as General Labor Standards (GLS), Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS), and Child Labor Law (Republic Act 9231). From the different regions throughout the Philippines, only a handful of organizations met the requirements.
To qualify for the certificate, an establishment must meet these criteria:
(a) It should be duly registered with either the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), DOLE, and other appropriate government agencies.
(b) It has a valid business permit from the Local Government Unit.
(c) It does not have any pending case with DOLE involving violations of General Labor Standards, Occupational Safety and Health Standards, and Child Labor Law during the time of the application.
(d) It has no case of Fatal Accident, Permanent Total/Partial Disability, or Occupational Illness within twelve months at the time of the application.
UBI, led by its Founder and President Carlos Gonzalez, has been steadfast in adhering to these guidelines and provisions from the Department of Labor and Employment as the company continues to be a key player in the construction industry.
