The Kagitingan Brigade, the Philippine Army’s 701st Infantry, received 12 tons of cement from Ulticon Builders Incorporated (UBI) for the construction of the troop’s motor pool bay and construction hall. Brigadier General Manuel V. Sequitin requested this assistance from UBI Vice President Rudolph Joseph C. Lopez to improve the facilities of the Kagitingan Brigade. These improvements can upgrade its unit status from compliant to proficient in fulfilling the Army Transformation Roadmap.
The Army Transformation Roadmap is a government program envisioning a world class Philippine Army that is a source of national pride by 2028. It aims to help the army further improve how it performs its daunting duties. Based in Sitio Magay, Barangay Don Martin Marundan, Mati City, Davao Oriental – the Kagitingan Brigade recognizes the importance of improving its facilities to carry out the mandate to maintain peace and order and protect the country from terrorism and rebellion.
UBI, a pioneering leader in the construction industry, has been a long-term partner of the Philippine Army, which has bravely stood to preserve the country’s security and safety despite limitations in resources. UBI is proud that beyond the company’s world-class projects and professionals is its relentless support to the government and its various departments in their programs for nation-building.
